Huawei’s New Patent Shows A Flip Phone Like Galaxy Z Flip
Yesterday, it was reported that Huawei has applied for a new trademark, “Huawei Mate V.” Recently, we got a patent, which is of another foldable phone from Huawei.
In the patent, it can be seen that the phone can be folded from up to down. The phone is looking much the same as the foldable phone of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. The patent was applied by “Huawei Technologies Company Ltd” on 15 Aug 2019. It got approved today (on 7 Jul) from the China National Intellectual Property Office.
The phone (showed in the patent) can be folded like Galaxy Z Flip, but in design, it seems to be better in comparison with Galaxy Z Flip. The phone display is a center big notched display like Huawei Mate 30 Pro. On the back, there is a long strip at the top left, which also includes camera setup.
According to our observation, there are a total of four cameras while the fourth camera may be placed under the LED flash, which is a little bit right from the strip. The phone got no headphone jack, while there is USB Type-C port at the bottom with speakers at right and a SIM slot at left.
On the top, there is an IR Blaster. The phone got the three major buttons at the right, two-volume rockers, and one lock screen button. According to some rumors, it may be the upcoming Huawei’s “Mate V” for which Huawei has already applied for the trademark.
It seems like, this year Huawei may launch a foldable phone from up to down instead of a right to left foldable phone (like Mate X or Xs).
