There have been rumors circulating for some time that Huawei had plans to release updated models of their Mate X Foldable and P series. Recently, several new devices were listed on certification sites, suggesting that they may be part of these high-end product lines.
However, Huawei has now made an official announcement stating that the new Huawei P60 series and Mate X3 Foldable Phone will be launched at the Huawei Spring Product Launch conference on March 23 in Shanghai. The company’s promotional message reads “The tide is rising and the sea is wide, see you at this time”, and the launch event will take place at 14:30 Beijing time.
The official announcement poster only contains the launch date, but the officials have also revealed that in addition to these flagship smartphones, many other new products will be unveiled during the launch event.
Huawei P60 series
The Huawei P60 series is set to be a camera-focused smartphone that will feature new technologies such as the RYYB color array and variable aperture, which will allow users to switch between f/1.4 to f/4.0 for different types of photography. XMAGE 2.0 will also launch with these premium phones, although the changes in the image optimization algorithm are still unknown. Recent camera samples show that the P60 series will have a brand-new nighttime photography feature.
Huawei Mate X3
As for the Huawei Mate X3, it will continue the side folding mechanism of the Mate X2 but with a lighter design and increased battery life. Huawei is expected to showcase improved design, battery performance, and durability in this latest foldable phone.
