Through the past practices of Qualcomm, we can expect that the time for the overclocked version of Snapdragon 8 Gen1 Plus has arrived. A few days before, Qualcomm announced that they would hold a new launch event in which the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 Plus and Snapdragon 7 Gen1 are expected to be revealed.

However, the famous Chinese blogger @DigitalChatStation has recently revealed the specifications of the all-new Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chipset. As per the blogger, the chipset is now based on TSMC 4nm manufacturing process. Further, the frequency of the entire core system has been changed.

Snapdragon 8 Gen1 Plus Parameters

Starting from the high-end core, the Cortex-X2 Super-Core is now clocked @3.2GHz (3.0GHz in standard version), and the 3x Cortex-A710 performance core is now clocked @2.75GHz (2.5GHz in standard version), and the 4x Cortex-A510 energy-efficient cores are now clocked @2.0GHz (1.8GHz in standard version). However, the blogger hasn’t mentioned the frequency of GPU, which is still Adreno 730.

It is worth mentioning that the Android Smartphone with the best AnTuTu Benchmark score is currently the Red Magic 7, which is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen1. And with upgraded cores, we can expect Qualcomm to remain at the first spot in this ranking. However, the competitor Dimensity 9000 is still not adequately tested on the benchmark; that’s why competition is still expected.

It is also reported that many smartphone manufacturers are looking forward to launching new devices powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 Plus. Recent reports claim that the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Flip4 from Samsung will feature this chipset.

For complete information on Snapdragon 8 Gen1 Plus, we have to wait until tomorrow (when the official launch event will happen).
