In March 2023, OPPO revealed its Find X6 series, the company’s highest-tier lineup. Both smartphones (standard and Pro) in this series were powered by flagship-level chipsets. However, as per the latest news, the company seems to be working on the next-generation model.
This morning, the famous Weibo blogger @DigitalChatStation revealed that a new model from OPPO is in the development phase, which would be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen3 chipset.
In addition to a flagship chipset, the smartphone would feature lenses from both Sony IMX9 and IMX8 lenses series. The prototype/testing machine features a 50MP Outsole Periscopic Lens (1/1.5±) inside a large-sized round lens module. Not only that, the smartphone also features a 2K resolution micro-curved display with a centered single punch-hole manufactured by Samsung.
Regarding the chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 is expected to adopt the following core architecture: 1+3+2+2. The top-end core would be Cortex-X4, then we have 5x Cortex-A720 P-cores with different frequencies (3 with higher and rest 2 with lower) and 2x Cortex-A520 energy-efficient cores.
As judged from the leaked specifications of expected OPPO Find X7 Pro, it seems that the OPPO Find X7 Pro would have a bit similar specifications. In addition, a minor upgrade is expected in the Find X7 series.
It is worth noting that Qualcomm previously announced that the 2023 Snapdragon Summit will be held from October 24 to 26, in which the all-new Snapdragon 8 Gen3 is expected to release. After the release of the chipset, we can also expect the OPPO Find X7 series launch.
