Qualcomm is all set to release its Snapdragon 8 Gen3 in the upcoming Qualcomm Summit 2023, which will start today and end on October 26. It seems that MediaTek is also now in the competition field, as the company has officially made an announcement today regarding its upcoming chipset.
This morning, MediaTek officially announced that they are going to hold a new product launch conference happening on November 6 at 7 PM (as per Chinese timing). The officials also mentioned that this launch event will include a flagship core product denoting the Dimensity 9300 chipset.
From the specifications point of view, Mediatek’s Dimensity 9300 is expected to be a massive improvement over its predecessors.
The upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen3 from Qualcomm is expected to feature 1x Cortex-X4 Ultra-Core. In contrast, the Dimensity 9300 chipset is rumored to feature 4x Cortex-X4 Cores, from which we can judge that there would be a significant performance gap between both competitors’ chipsets.
In terms of specifications, the Dimensity 9300 consists of 1x Cortex-X4 Ultra-Core (clocked @3.25GHz), 3x Performance Cortex-X4 Cores (clocked @2.85GHz) and 4x Cortex-A720 E-Cores (clocked @2.0GHz).

Previously, the Dimensity 9300-powered OPPO Find X7 also surfaced on the Geekbench 6 certification site, in which it was observed that the benchmark scores were relatively higher as compared to previous top scorers.
