In February 2022, OPPO introduced its first-ever tablet device, OPPO Pad. However, it seems that after almost one year, the company is looking forward to releasing the successor of its tablet series as the leaks and rumors regarding the new tablet device from OPPO are now coming.

This morning, a new device from OPPO carrying model number “OPD2201” has been listed on 3C Certification. From the model number, it can easily be judged that it denotes the newer OPPO Pad model, as the previous model’s model number was almost similar (OPPO Pad 1: OPD2101).

Further, the sources also have confirmed that this model belongs to OPPO Pad 2. As mentioned in the certification, the new OPPO Pad 2 will use the company’s 67W SuperVOOC 2.0 charger. It is worth noting that the charger supports charging at the following modes: 10W (5V/2A) and 30.5W-67.2W (5-11V/6.1A).

Compared with the previous model, the new OPPO Pad 2 will feature better and faster 67W charging, while the previous model was limited to 33W charging only. Previously, the same model was also listed on the Bluetooth SIG certification site, revealing that this device would support Bluetooth 5.3.

As previously reported, the new OPPO Pad 2 will feature the same sized 11 inches IPS LCD Display but with a better 2800*2000p resolution and higher 144Hz refresh rate. The support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+ certification would also be the highlights of OPPO Pad 2.

Instead of using Qualcomm’s chipset, this time, OPPO has opted for Dimensity 9000 chipset for its OPPO Pad 2, which is still a decent flagship chipset and can work excellently for multi-tasking operations.

In terms of specifications, the chipset is based on a 4nm TSMC manufacturing process and features the following cores: 1x Cortex-X2 Super Core (clocked @3.05GHz), 3x Cortex-A710 Performance Cores (clocked @2.85GHz) and 4x Cortex-A510 Energy-efficient cores (clocked @1.8GHz). In terms of battery, a bigger 9500mAh battery is expected to be equipped in addition to 67W charging support.

The new OPPO Pad 2 is expected to be launched alongside the OPPO Find X6 series next month (March 2023).
