Yesterday, Honor officially announced that they would launch the all-new Honor Play5 on May 18 (at 7:30 PM Chinese Timing). As the launch date is coming near, the famous Chinese smartphone manufacturer is releasing the main highlights of the phone. Today, a new highlight has been revealed.
Today, Honor has officially confirmed that the upcoming Honor Play5 will feature the 66W Super Fast Charging. The charger is expected to be the same one used in Honor V40 Series.
The expected charger has a model number HW-110600C00, which supports a maximum of 66W (11V, 6A) Charging. The expected charger can charge 60% of the battery in 15 minutes and 100% of the battery in 35 minutes (as advertised). The details mentioned above are tested on a 4000mAh Battery.
As per previous info, the all-new Honor Play5 will feature a 6.53 inches OLED Display with a U-Shaped notch and Full-HD+ resolution. The bezels and chin of the display will be reduced significantly. The phone would have a thickness of 7.46mm and a weight of around 179g.
The phone’s back will be glossy and consist of a matrix quad-camera setup (64MP Main Sensor + 8MP Ultra-wide + 2MP Depth + 2MP Macro). Moreover, there would be a 3800mAh battery inside.
The phone would also feature an in-display fingerprint scanner. There would be two color options: Aurora White and Silver Gradient. The chipset of this model is currently unknown. Moreover, the officials didn’t reveal any information about the Pro model of this series.
