There have been rumors for some time that Huawei planned to release updated models of its Mate X Foldable and P series. Recently, several new devices were listed on certification websites, suggesting that they may be part of these high-end series.
Today, Huawei announced that the P60 series and the Mate X3 foldable phone will be unveiled at the Huawei Spring New Product Launch Event in Shanghai on March 23. The event will take place at 2:30 PM Beijing time.
The official poster only contains the launch date, but Huawei also revealed that in addition to these smartphones, many other new products will be unveiled at the event.
Huawei P60 series
The Huawei P60 series will be positioned as smartphones focused on photography that feature new technologies such as an RYYB color filter array and a variable aperture, allowing users to freely switch between f/1.4 and f/4.0 apertures depending on different shooting scenarios. The high-end models in this series will also launch the XMAGE 2.0, although the specific improvements in its algorithm have not yet been disclosed. Recent camera samples indicate that the P60 series will come with a new night photography feature.
Huawei Mate X3
As for the Huawei Mate X3, it will continue the side-folding mechanism of the Mate X2 but with a lighter design and improved battery life. Huawei is expected to showcase a more optimized design, better battery performance, and greater durability in this latest foldable phone.
This launch event will be a major event for Huawei as the company prepares to unveil two major devices simultaneously. More promotional content is expected to be released leading up to the launch date.
