Information about Lenovo’s upcoming gaming phone is gradually emerging. This phone recently received 3C certification, and there is now a new development.
On June 3, a Lenovo Legion phone with the model number L79031 appeared on Geekbench. Earlier reports suggested that this phone is the Lenovo Legion gaming phone.
This phone comes with 8GB of RAM, possibly using the latest LPDDR5 RAM. In addition, it has been confirmed to feature the Snapdragon 865 5G chipset, which typically uses a motherboard codenamed Kona.
The phone is running the latest Android 10 OS. It scores 914 points in the single-core test and 3392 points in the multi-core test (GeekBench 5.1.1).
It has two USB Type-C ports, with one supporting up to 45W fast charging. When both ports are used simultaneously, the charging power can reach 90W. According to reports, this phone may feature a notch-free screen and support a 144Hz refresh rate.
The device features a side pop-up 20MP front camera. The back of the phone features a dual-camera setup with a 64MP sensor and a 16MP sensor in the center, with an LED light below. It is reported that the device will use a 3D heat dissipation tower structure, achieving long-lasting cooling through a dual heat pipe partition.
Lenovo also claims that this gaming phone will feature a new user interface. In landscape mode, the screen will remain horizontal, the status bar will move to the right side, and the settings interface will also be optimized.
Lenovo had already teased this phone two months ago. However, due to the current pandemic, its release date may be further delayed. GeekBench has confirmed that this phone has entered the final testing phase and is expected to be released soon.
