It has been almost a year since Vivo launched the Vivo X Fold. Later, the company launched the Vivo X Fold+. However, the latest reports indicate that Vivo is currently preparing to release the second generation of its foldable phone.
This morning, Digital Chat Station revealed the specifications of the upcoming vivo X Fold2 on Weibo.

According to the blogger, both screens (inner and outer) will support 2K resolution. In addition, the device will feature a 4,800 mAh battery and support 120W fast charging. Compared to the Vivo X Fold, the battery capacity increases by 200 mAh, and the charging power rises by 54W.
When discussing the chipset, the blogger mentioned that this foldable device will be the first to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and support charging above 100W.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is manufactured using TSMC’s 4nm process and features a new core architecture, including one Cortex-X2 core clocked at 3.0 GHz, two Cortex-A715 cores clocked at 2.5 GHz, 2 Cortex-A710 cores clocked at 2.5 GHz, and three Cortex-A510 efficiency cores clocked at 1.8 GHz.
Other sources also revealed that the Vivo X Fold2 will feature a quad-camera system, with the main camera being a 50MP Sony IMX866 sensor. Compared to its predecessor, this phone is expected to be slimmer.
According to sources, the Vivo X Fold2 is expected to be released in April 2023.
