Xiaomi is going to launch its latest flagship smartphones, the Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro, on December 28. The launch is just a couple of days ahead, and as usual, we have been seeing a lot of leaks and rumours about the upcoming smartphones. Some specifications have also been confirmed by the company itself, and today, Xiaomi has revealed yet another thing about the Mi 11 series.

As per the latest Weibo post by Xiaomi, the Mi 11 duo will be the first smartphones in the market to come with Corning’s newest 7th generation Gorilla Glass protection, called Victus. The glass, as the company claims, is the toughest they have made yet. According to Corning, Gorilla Glass Victus offers “significant improvement in both drop and scratch performance, for the first time ever in the Gorilla Glass family”. The smartphones using this glass for display protection offered up to 4X better scratch resistance and survived drop tests from up to 2 meters in the lab tests performed by Corning.

Xiaomi Mi 11 specifications:

Now moving on to some specifications of the smartphone, the Mi 11 will be the first smartphone to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 mobile platform. The chipset offers significant improvements over its predecessor, Snapdragon 865. There are some reports which state that the Mi 11 will have a flat-screen, whereas the Pro version will have a screen curved from all 4 sides. Both these smartphones will also have some sort of AI, that will adjust some parameters of the display such as HDR, MEMC, and will perform some enhancements, on its own. The Mi 11 could come with a 4,780mAh battery, and the Mi 11 Pro could come with a 4,970mAh battery, both supporting up to 55W fast charging.

There have also been leaks about the pricing of the Mi 11 smartphone, and if those are to be believed, Xiaomi will launch the Mi 11 in 3 storage variants. The 8+128GB variant could be priced at CNY 4,500, the 8+256GB variant could be priced at CNY 4,800, and the 12+256GB variant could be priced at CNY 5,200. We advise you to take this with a pinch of salt, as the prices have not been confirmed by Xiaomi officially.
