Xiaomi previously revealed that the MIUI 12.5 stable version will be released on April 30. However, some users can now experience the new system in advance. On April 22, MIUI announced that the MIUI 12.5 stable version has officially begun to be pushed to users.

There are 7 models in the first batch, including Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11, Mi 10 Extreme Commemorative Edition, Mi 10 Pro, Mi 10, and Mi 9 SE.

For the above models, the official upgrade method is to upgrade directly in Settings>My Device>About the device, but some models have received push notifications in recent days.

Xiaomi claims that the change of MIUI 12.5 is no less than a major version. The system dynamic effects, sound effects and tactile design have been greatly upgraded, the System UI has been rewritten, and the memory usage of core scenes has been reduced by 20%.

In addition, the highlight of MIUI 12.5 is the upgrade of privacy protection. It is a step forward on the basis of the original MIUI12, introducing clipboard privacy protection, integrated fuzzy positioning, privacy isolation sandbox, browser privacy protection, and application ecological privacy protection measures.

According to the original plan, the second batch of models will begin to receive the MIUI 12.5 stable version at the end of May this year. The models include: Redmi K40 Pro, Xiaomi 10S, Redmi K40, Redmi K30 Pro, Redmi K30 5G, Redmi K30i 5G, Xiaomi 10 Lite 5G, Redmi K30 Extreme Commemorative Edition, Redmi 10X, Redmi 10X Pro, Redmi K30S Extreme Commemorative Edition, Redmi Note 9 Pro, Xiaomi CC9 Pro, Redmi Note 9, Xiaomi CC9, Xiaomi CC9 Meitu Custom Edition, Redmi Note 8 Pro, Xiaomi 9, Redmi K20 Pro, Xiaomi 9 Pro 5G.
