According to the picture, due to the larger camera module, the iPhone 12 Pro Max’s motherboard is the same as the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro, and it has moved from the right side of the previous generation to the left side, leaving space for the SIM card slot. It is worth mentioning that the motherboard of the iPhone 12 Pro Max is shorter than that of the iPhone 12 Pro.
The teardown also confirmed that the iPhone 12 Pro Max has a battery capacity of only 3,687 mAh. The L-shaped battery capacity has been reduced compared to the previous generation. The iPhone 11 Pro Max had a capacity of 3,969 mAh.
The teardown did not disclose specific information about the memory, flash memory, modem, or other components.
