A few days before, it was reported that iQOO will launch its iQOO Z8 series. The series is rumored to consist of two models: iQOO Z8 and iQOO Z8x. Until now, the officials hadn’t made any announcement, but recently, the company has officially revealed the launch date of the iQOO Z8 series.

This morning, iQOO (on Weibo) officially announced that the all-new iQOO Z8 series will be launched on August 31 at 7 PM (as per Chinese timing). In addition, the officials also revealed a teaser in which different aspects can be observed, plus the device’s chipset was also announced.

As mentioned, the iQOO Z8 standard model would be powered by Dimensity 8200 chipset. The chipset is based on a 4nm manufacturing process and is an octa-core chipset with Cortex-A78 P-Cores (clocked @3.1 GHz). It is also integrated with Mali-G610 GPU and MediaTek’s custom 5G modem.

As observed in the teaser, the smartphone will feature a dual camera setup inside a square-shaped camera module. This dual camera setup includes a 64MP primary lens (with OIS support) and a 2MP depth lens. We have a 16MP selfie lens on the front side inside the display’s punch hole.

The display is a 6.64-inch Single Punch-Hole LCD Screen, which supports Full-HD+ resolution (2388*1080p). Inside the phone is a large 5000mAh large-sized battery in addition to 120W super fast charging support.

The specifications of iQOO Z8x aren’t known yet. But it is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen1 chipset, one of the best chipsets in the Snapdragon 6 series (mid-range category).

The chipset is manufactured using a 4nm manufacturing process and features Cortex-A78 P-Cores. The chipset is integrated with Adreno 710 GPU and Snapdragon X62 5G network modem.

In the coming days, iQOO is expected to reveal more highlights of its iQOO Z8 series.j
