Samsung is currently developing two new foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold5 and the Galaxy Z Flip5. These devices are expected to be launched in the next five to six months. Although the launch is still quite far away, several leaks about these phones have already circulated on the internet.
Today, Ice Universe shared the color options for the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5. The leak shows that Samsung will offer multiple color choices for these smartphones.
According to his information, the Galaxy Z Flip5 will be available in beige, gray, light green, and light pink, while the Galaxy Z Fold5 will be available in beige, black, and light blue.
Although Samsung has not made any official statement about the colors of these devices, leaks from Ice Universe give us some clues about what to expect.
Geekbench Test
In addition, the Geekbench test results for the two devices have also been leaked. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 (SM-F946U) scored 2,030 in the single-core test and 5,213 in the multi-core test.
At the same time, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 (SM-F731U) scored 2014 points in the single-core test and 5022 points in the multi-core test.
Both devices are expected to use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with an even higher clock speed than the Samsung Galaxy S23 series, resulting in slightly higher scores. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 has 12GB of RAM, while the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 has 8GB of RAM, and both run Android 13. However, it is worth noting that these test results are only from the beta version of the devices.
Other Specifications
Previous rumors indicate that the Galaxy Z Fold5 will feature an external display similar to its predecessor. The phone is expected to have a 6.2-inch Full HD+ touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 23.1:9 aspect ratio. The device is expected to weigh around 254 grams and have an IPX8 water resistance rating. Although the size of the external display is not yet clear, rumors suggest that the Galaxy Z Flip5 will have a larger external display.
The Fold5 is expected to offer 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options, while the Flip5 is also likely to have the same storage options. Earlier reports indicate that the Galaxy Z Fold5 may feature cameras similar to the current model.
Samsung has not yet confirmed these leaked details. The launch events for the Fold5 and Flip5 are expected to take place in August 2023. The phones’ specifications remain unknown, and we will need to wait until the launch to learn more.
