Samsung is currently working on two new models of foldable smartphones, namely the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5. These devices are expected to be launched in the next five to six months. Even though the official launch is quite far away, there are already several leaks about these phones circulating on the internet.

One of the latest leaks has come from a Chinese leakster who is known as “Ice Universe”. This individual has shared some information about the color options that Samsung is planning to offer for both the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Z Flip 5. The leak suggests that Samsung will be offering a variety of color choices for these smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5 Colors

As per his information, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will come in Beige, Gray, Light Green, and Light Pink, while the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will be available in Beige, Black, and Light Blue.

Although, the company has not made any official announcement regarding the colors of these devices, Ice Universe’s leaked information provides some insight into what we can expect.

Geekbench Test

Furthermore, Geekbench test results for both models have been leaked online. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 (model Samsung SM-F946U) scored 2,030 points for single-core and 5,213 points for multi-core.

Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 (model Samsung SM-F731U) scored 2014 points for single-core and 5022 points for multi-core.

Both models are expected to use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with an even higher clock speed than the Samsung Galaxy S23 series, resulting in slightly higher scores. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 has 12GB of RAM, while the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 has 8GB of RAM and both run on the Android 13 operating system. However, it’s worth noting that these test results are only from the beta version of the devices.

Other Specifications

Previous rumors suggest that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will have an exterior display similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 4. The phone is expected to have a 6.2-inch full-HD+ touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 23.1:9 aspect ratio. The device is anticipated to weigh around 254g and has an IPX8 rating. Although the size of the outer display is unknown, rumors suggest that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will have a larger outer display.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to come in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage configurations, while the same storage options should be available for the Galaxy Z Flip 5. An earlier report suggests that the new Galaxy Z Fold 5 model may have cameras similar to those in the current model.

Samsung has not confirmed any of these leaks, and the official launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Z Flip 5 is expected to take place in August 2023. The actual specifications of the phones remain to be seen, and we will have to wait for the official launch to find out more.
