As per reports, the official website of electric cars manufacturer, “Tesla China” has revealed that the company has launched its battery recycling service in China quietly.
Unlike every time, Tesla didn’t hype its new battery recycling service. But the company has launched the service on the Q&A interface (on the official website).
In the announcement, the company has revealed that its service centers (all around the world) can dispose of any type of batteries that no longer meets the customer need. All the scrapped Li-ion batteries will be recycled 100% instead of landfilling.
Moreover, the company has also announced that keeping the environmental and commercial reasons in mind, extending the life of the battery will be the priority over recycling. However, the company will try its best to extend the battery’s service life before scrapping consumer-grade battery packs and recycling them.
