According to reports, Samsung is developing a new generation of M-series phones, which are typically aimed at entry-level and mid-range devices.

Today, a battery with the model number EB-BM425ABY appeared on the 3C certification website. Based on our observations, this battery is for the Samsung Galaxy M42. Since the battery model includes the M425, it can be clearly inferred that this is the battery for the Galaxy M42.

Galaxy M42 3C certification

This battery has a capacity of 5830mAh. It is also mentioned that this is a secondary lithium-ion battery. The applicant and manufacturer of this battery is Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL), which also manufactures batteries for the Galaxy S21 series.

According to previous reports, Samsung seems to have skipped the Galaxy M41 and plans to launch the Galaxy M42 directly. It is expected that more new products will be unveiled alongside this phone. Another report suggests that the Galaxy M41 will feature a 64MP main camera sensor and 128GB of storage.

The Galaxy M42 may be powered by a Snapdragon 700 series chipset, such as the Snapdragon 720G. This is currently the second leak regarding this new device. Given that the device has a large battery, it is expected to support 25W fast charging.
