On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Samsung Exynos brand, Samsung held an interview event to look forward to the future of Samsung Exynos. Today, the interview video has been posted on the Samsung Exynos Weibo account.
Dr. Pan Xuebao of Samsung Semiconductor China Research Institute revealed in an interview that the Samsung Exynos 1080 processor will soon be available, featuring the latest technologies, including 5G, AI, and an ISP.

According to reports, this mobile processor is specifically designed for the Chinese market and offers flagship-level performance. Compared with the previous-generation 7nm SoC, the Samsung Exynos 1080 uses a 5nm process, delivering significant improvements in power consumption and performance.
At the same time, this processor also uses ARM’s latest Cortex-A78 cores and Mali-G78 GPU. Dr. Pan Xuebiao stated that the Samsung Exynos 1080 has made more significant breakthroughs in other software and hardware aspects and will continue to share more details.
It is worth noting that as early as April 2019, 5G smartphones with Samsung Exynos chips were already commercially available. In the second half of 2019, Samsung Exynos, in collaboration with vivo, launched the brand’s first 5G dual-mode SoC, which went commercial in December of the same year.
