On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the Samsung Exynos brand, the brand officially held an interview event to look forward to the future of Samsung Exynos. Today, the live video of the interview was posted on Samsung Exynos Weibo account.
Dr. Pan Xuebao of the Samsung Semiconductor China Research Institute revealed in the interview that Samsung’s Exynos 1080 processor, which integrates the latest technologies such as 5G, AI, and ISP, will soon meet with you.
According to reports, this mobile processor is specifically designed for the Chinese market and has a flagship-level performance. Compared with the previous generation of 7nm SoC, Samsung Exynos 1080 processor uses a 5nm process technology to provide better power consumption and performance.
At the same time, the processor also uses ARM’s latest Cortex-A78 and Mali-G78. Dr. Pan Xuebao said that Samsung’s Exynos 1080 processor has made more significant breakthroughs in other hardware and software, and will continue to share more details.
It is worth mentioning that as early as April 2019, the 5G solution mobile phone equipped with Samsung Exynos was already commercially available. In the second half of 2019, Samsung Exynos and its partner Vivo jointly released the brand’s first 5G dual-mode SoC, which was successfully commercialized in December of that year.
